Question by KittyKitty: what is the best antioxidant vitamin? What are the benefits?
I want to take antioxidants but there are so many that I’m lost. Theres Alpha lipoic acid, grape seed, green tea, etc but I have no idea what to buy. I’m not even really sure what the benefits from each are. I’m mainly wanting something for skin and immune health. I want something that I can go purchase from a Walgreens or CVS. The only other supplement that I take right now is Biotin 5000 mg a day.

If your concern is for skin and immune health, I would recommend Isotonix OPC-3 Beauty Blend
    http://www.marketamerica.com/lcbeauty/index.cfm?action=shopping.wpGoShopProducts&prodID=2252

    Primary benefit:

    • Formulated to promote skin elasticity to keep skin looking young and firm

    • Promotes healthy functioning of the skin at the cellular level, which results in healthy, vibrant-looking skin

    • Support healthy collagen production,

    • Replenish essential vitamins and minerals for the skin, and provide the skin and body with improved antioxidant defenses.

contain some of the finest antioxidants available today including grape seed extract, red wine extract, bilberry extract, citrus bioflavanoids and Pycnogenol®(pine bark extract).

These super antioxidants not only work to keep the skin healthy and beautiful, but also provide free radical scavenging abilities which are beneficial in a world filled with smog, pollution and other various unseen toxins.

Remember, free radicals are No. 1 skin killer, it’s what cause aging. Collagen are within the skin to give us smooth skin. But collagen production decreased by aging and free radical damages. So the root of problem is not to replenish collagen but to protect your body from free radical damages.

I would not recommend pill form of vitamin you can obtain from Walgreen or CVS due to low absorption rate and low potency.

In order to form pills, filling, additives needs to be added, these are waste to our body and increase digestion time.

In additions, no matter if we drink fluids, eat food or take pills, everything need to be broken down into isotonic solution in our stomach first before our body can absorb. Stomach is very high acidic, thus most of the nutrients are destroyed in our stomach before reaching small intestine for absorption. So with pill form, we are looking for absorption rate of about 10 to 40% depending on our body’s digestion ability and the ingredients to form the pills. Please keep in mind that human’s digestion ability decease by age.

With Isotonix line, since it’s in isotonic form by adding certain amount of water to one capful of powder (it tastes great too!), vitamin won’t stay in stomach and will go to intestine within 5 minutes so we are looking for absorption rate of 90% and higher, higher absorption rate even compare to IV injection.

No filling or binding are added to the Isotonix line so you are guarantee to have best potency for the vitamin you take.

Never look for price tag when shopping for supplements, look for values, absorption and potency because our health is priceless!
